Killer Loop’S: the first volume of the quadrilogy is close to sold out again, a trailer is coming to celebrate its success.

Stefano Labbia’s first graphic novel . A bet that many publishers in Italy have not accepted. Publishers that now, given the results achieved by the graphic work in question (pencils: Marco Proietto), are boiling.

The first volume of the quadrilogy conceived and written by the Italian-Brazilian author was officially released on December 19, 2019. On the 23rd of the same month it was sold out in most online stores.

Despite the physical bookstores closed throughout Italy, due to the pandemic, the multi-genre graphic novel published by LFA Publisher has literally routed everybody else’s predictions, establishing itself as one of the best graphic novels of the last ten years for innovative language and content: Labbia is managed to upset a genre, that of comic novels, narrating the deeds of Kimberly, aka Stuart Whitman, an ordinary man who finds himself entangled in a world very similar to that of Sin City (Frank Miller) – but also and above all terribly close to the one we live in … – who chooses revenge instead of forgiveness. Hence the title “death circle”.

A self-destructive spiral, in some ways, with continuous twists topped with Black humor and action. The chiaroscuro created by Proietto renders quite well the idea that Labbia, multifaceted and eclectic author, had in mind: this graphic novel vibrates, silly, electrifies us showing that there are still many things to say. And that it is possible to do it with new ways, new languages.

New means to achieve the goal: to reflect. On the delusion of omnipotence of modern man, on the abuse of power, on revenge. And on the violence that now occupies the front pages of newspapers and hours and hours of television broadcasts around the world for years. LFA Publisher won. Stefano Labbia won. We won. Waiting for number two …
