Chaos breaks out in the new chapter of the series in September.
The highly anticipated Borderlands 3 is reality and, yesterday, a dedicated event provided us with the first glance at the gameplay of the game.
On this occasion we saw one of the new Vault Hunters, Amara, a Siren-class character, at Quick Change Station, where you can customize the appearance of your character. This includes heads, skin, color, emote and more. Here you can also edit the skill tree and re-specialize.
In Borderlands 3, the game kicks off with an introductory mission from Claptrap. According to the little robot, a new sect called Children of the Vault (VOC) is causing some problems. Lilith and the Crimson Raiders are recruiting new Vault Hunters to investigate the sect and learn more about their mysterious leaders.
Claptrap then leads us on a “stealthy” infiltration mission to confront Shiv, who heads the local Propaganda Center for Worship. Obviously, Claptrap is captured and it's up to Amara to save him. The fight showed the typical Borderlands level, with a lot of dismemberments.
Later, it was revealed that now you can slide when shooting, while in the weapons department, some pistols now offer more shooting modes. One mode showed a Vladof pistol that fired semiautomatic bullets before moving on to micro-missiles from under the barrel, also elemental weapons were not missing.
Sanctuary was also the protagonist of the reveal event, which will not only be a “mother ship” used for transport, but your home base, where you can customize the character and buy new items from the stores.
Below, you can see the official trailer of the gameplay presentation event published by Gearbox and reported by VG247.com:
We remind you that a preview of Borderlands 3 is already available on the pages of Eurogamer.it.
